Private Tours for NCL Passengers at Harvest Caye

Roam Belize now offers private tours for Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) passengers during their stop at Harvest Caye in Belize. Instead of cramming into a bus with 60 other people to take the rounds, why not enjoy a private, personalized tour from Belize’s premiere tour agency? Harvest Caye is a beautiful island located a few miles off the coast of southern Belize near the Placencia Peninsula. Roam Belize offers complete, personalized packages that include tours to the mainland where you can get the full Belizean experience.

Roam Belize offers cultural tours, visiting ancient cultures like the Maya and the Garifuna, learning to cook, dance, and play musical instruments according to traditions that have remained unchanged for centuries. Roam Belize can take you to places like Hopkins, a picturesque fishing village that is home to master craftsmen or to Dangriga, the cultural capital of Belize and the center of the country’s lively music scene.

Other exciting tours around Belize include exploring the remnants of the ancient Maya. Two thousand years before the arrival of the Europeans, the Maya built enormous cities out of stone, vast complexes that contain royal palaces, temples, and pyramids. Today, visitors to sites like Nim Li Punit and Lubantuum can marvel at these ancient wonders that rise majestically from the surrounding jungle. Roam Belize also offers tours of the ATM (Actun Tunichil Muknal) Cave, a sacred ceremonial site where Maya priests once performed human sacrifices in an effort to appease their gods.

Other popular activities to enjoy in Belize include taking a boat tour up the Monkey River, a pristine waterway where participants can see crocodiles, manatees, howler monkeys and dozens of species of tropical birds in their native habitat while learning about the medicines still made from locally-sourced plants in the jungle.

With Roam Belize, NCL passengers can also choose to hike through the Cockscomb Basin Nature Reserve, a vast tract of roadless land that is home to some of the last native jaguars in Central America. Other exciting adventures available in Belize include cave tubing (riding an inner tube on a subterranean river), zip lining through the jungle, horseback riding, and bird watching.

While you’re in Belize as part of your NCL cruise, why not skip the programmed activities and get out and explore the real Belize? Roam Belize is a locally-owned and operated tour company with more than a decade of experience in providing international visitors with an authentic experience of all that Belize has to offer.

“Wasn’t sure what to expect once we docked in Belize, but I’m definitely glad I chose the private tour. Got to see the Village of Hopkins, where it seems like everyone and their brother is outside, playing music or drumming. Also got to taste some of the Garifuna food, including Sere and Hudut. Truly wish we’d had another day in Belize to see more.”

-Anthony Jenkins, Atlantic City, New Jersey

“My wife and I chose to go see Placencia Village, and they weren’t kidding when they said it was one of the most beautiful coastal villages in Belize. Ate some great food and purchased some amazing Belizean souvenirs. All in all, was a very enjoyable day.”
