The Central American country of Belize is an outdoor paradise. In providing visitors with amazing up close opportunities to learn about this nation’s diverse ecosystem, tourism businesses take extreme care in protecting this fragile yet awe-inspiring environment. Endless adventures such as bird watching, zip lining, cave tubing, jungle hiking and touring the incredible ancient Mayan ruins are just some of what a trip to Belize has in store for the intrepid traveler.

Imagine the exhilaration participating in one of the following five tours! You can make it your reality.

Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary and Jaguar Preserve

Spectacular is the best way to describe this location. Within approximately 128,000 acres lies not only an amazing jaguar haven, but the pristine rainforest, home to other animals such as ocelots, tapirs, margays and more. Oh, and don’t forget about the birds! Bird watchers are thrilled as over 300 species call the Cockscomb Basin their home. Exotic plants, waterfalls and various reptiles complete the tour.

Inland Blue Hole and Xunantunich

Xunantunich is a 130 foot high Mayan city located in the Cayo District. This stone structure is one of the many ruins sites across Belize but the only one with a staggering view of the Mopan River and the country of Guatemala. The return trip offers an opportunity for a jungle swim in the inland Blue Hole.

ATM Cave

The ATM tour is a mesmerizing hike through Actun Tunichil Muknal, a popular Mayan burial site. For 45 minutes, visitors wade through streams, explore caves, swim in the caverns, climb rocks and carefully observe remarkable Mayan artifacts. It is awesome!

Bocawina Zip line & Waterfall Rappelling

Soar through the air over breathtaking flora of the jungle and rainforest on Belize’s longest zip line. You may choose to rappel down one of three gorgeous waterfalls, each requiring a different skill level.

Garifuna Cultural Immersion

Get ready for a truly Belizean experience when you visit a family in the village of Hopkins. Don traditional clothing and prepare Hudut, a special dish of the Garifuna people. After your meal, learn about Garifuna style music and dance through hands-on instruction. This is the perfect way to be an active part of this inspiring culture.
